I wanted to share the details of the look with all of you to show and encourage you to venture out to combine unlikely elements to create a "style mixology"! Comment below and tell me what you think!

Southern Gentlemen in The City!

Tuesday, September 8, 2015

I had a chance recently to link up with Dimitri Williams of Dimitri Williams Photography for a photo shoot we call "Southern Gentlemen in The City". We wanted to bring a fresh and unique look to some really unexpected locations in Raleigh. Tell me what you think of about the looks on Andre Smith, Darreill Ruffin and on me as we bring a dapper and swanky vibe to an industrial area of downtown Raleigh. Lastly, I want to give a big S/O to CAM Raleigh for allowing us to take over their beautiful space for some of the shots.

Let me Per"Suede" You: Suede Shoes in the Summer

Monday, June 1, 2015

I am asked this question all the time "Can you wear suede in the Summer?" Absolutely, my rule of thumb when it comes to wearing suede in the Summer is avoid wearing suede boots and avoid Fall or Winter type colors. Otherwise, go for suede year around. Check out some of the great suede options and post your  comments below!

Bedroom Sophistication and Simplicity

Wednesday, May 27, 2015

The title says it all, Sophistication and Simplicity! What else do you really need in a great bedroom decor? It all starts with great bedding! Your bed is what takes up the most visual and floor space in the room so why not outfit it with a great duvet (which is easier to clean and can be switch out easy) and accent it with pops of color. I like using a white or neutral duvet cover and then pick up color in the pillows and throw blankets. White or neutral bedding always reminds me of staying in a modern resort or boutique hotel. You can even switch out the pillows to change with the season or even mood. Check out some of the items I found that will add some simple sophistication to any room!

Product Review: Grenson Shoes

Thursday, May 21, 2015

I had the pleasure to take these awesome Grenson Dylan Wingtip Oxfords for a spin and I have to say the construction, the look and feel is SUPERB! They are a real attention grabber and believe me people WILL pay attention. Grenson has been around since the mid-1800's and their styling today does not show their age! Check out the details below and tell me what you think!

The attention to detail in the stitching and the leather selected is FAR superior than many modern day manufacturers.

I want to give one final S/O to East Dane for carrying such an awesome product! The Grenson Dylan Wingtip Oxford is definitely #SirByronApproved! Remember to leave your comments below!

The Knit Tie and Vintage Hounds-tooth Suit

Thursday, April 16, 2015

It is no secret that I love a vintage suit. It's just something about them that can create such a unique look. I found this vintage hounds-tooth suit at a thrift store and it was pretty dated with wide, bell-bottom trousers and the jacket was a little large in the torso area. So what did I do? I dropped it off at my local tailors and they were able to convert the trousers to straight leg and they took the suit in on the sides and back. I also paired the suit with an awesome knit tie from Tie The Knit. Check out the entire look below and big S/O to Tie The Knit for sending such an awesome knit tie! Make sure you check out their site and use promo code "SirByronLaurent" to get 15% off your purchase by clicking the links above.

P.S. Say hello to my son Lawrence Jr. or as we like to call him "Lil Sir".
